Meeting of the presidium of the Technical Committee for Accreditation

Presidium of the Technical Committee for Accreditation (TCA) on 30th of July convened at the National Accreditation Agency of Ukraine (NAAU). Members of the TCA Presidium, members of the Working Group of the Accreditation Council and top management of NAAU were present at the meeting.

The following issues were on the panel for discussion:

  • Information about June 30th 2009 meeting of the Accreditation Council;
  • Review of accreditation policies;
  • Issue of terminological definitions of the ЕА-04/15 document “Accreditation for Non-Destructive Testing”;
  • Issue of preparation of persons in uncertainty measurement;
  • Implementation of ISO/IEC 9001:2008.

TCA recommended to NAAU:

1. Implement the following policies:

  • on participation in inter-laboratory comparison programs;
  • on witnessing the assessment that is conducted by CAB in line with the designated accredited scope;
  • on measurement traceability that is conducted by CAB in line with the designated accredited scope;
  • on fulfilling the requirements for the assessment of uncertainty measurement;
  • on implementation of the requirements of international standards during accreditation;
  • on handling applicant’s refusals to assignment of the auditor’s group;
  • on unfounded delay in handling accreditation works on part by CAB.

2. Develop methodology with criteria for identification of the order for conducting the witness.

3. Develop a document on transition of CABs accredited for conformity with ДСТУ ISO/IEC 17021 to have the right to carry out the works according to ISO/IEC 9001:2008.
