Expanding NAAU recognition within the framework of the International Accreditation Forum

The National Accreditation Agency of Ukraine informs that during the Joint IAF-ILAC Mid-Term Meetings, which took place in Frankfurt am Main, Germany, on 4 and 11 April 2018, a decision was made to recognize NAAU by the European co-operation for Accreditation (EA) in 4 subfields of the IAF Multilateral Agreement (IAF MLA), namely:

  • ISO 50001 – “Energy management systems – Requirements with guidance for use”
  • ISO/IEC 27001 – “Information security management systems – Requirements”
  • ISO 13485 – “Medical devices – Quality management systems – Requirements for regulatory purposes”
  • ISO 22000 – ” Food safety management systems – Requirements for any organization in the food chain”

Thus, all EA members, including NAAU, who are recognized in similar areas within the EA, have automatically become signatories to the IAF MLA in the above sub-fields.

This enables CABs accredited by NAAU to use the combined IAF MLA mark within the scope of NAAU recognition by IAF in its certification documents provided that the relevant license agreement with NAAU is signed.
