The EA Peer Evaluation of NAAU

In the period from June 3, 2019 to June 7, 2019 NAAU successfully underwent the EA scheduled peer evaluation in order to confirm NAAU signatory status to the EA Bilateral Agreement (EA-BLA).

It should be noted that recognition of NAAU activities by the International Laboratory Accreditation Cooperation (ILAC) and the International Accreditation Forum (IAF) is based on the recognition of NAAU activities by the EA.

The purpose of peer evaluation conducted by the EA team of 10 assessors was to perform a comprehensive review of NAAU activities related to accreditation of conformity assessment bodies (CABs) against the requirements of ДСТУ ISO/IEC 17011:2017.

Key aspects of evaluation also included the expansion of recognition of NAAU activities for the accreditation of Medical Laboratories according to ДСТУ EN ISO 15189.

As a result of peer evaluation the EA team obtained evidence that NAAU had put in place a structured organisation and a management that was found appropriate for the accreditation of CABs in compliance with the requirements of ДСТУ ISO/IEC 17011:2017. The team concluded that the operation of NAAU related to accreditation of CABs including accreditation of medical laboratories, complies with the established international requirements to the national accreditation bodies.

The evaluation team expressed its gratitude to NAAU internal and external personnel, accredited conformity assessment bodies and their clients involved in the witnessing of assessments for their co-operation in evaluation activities and for the hospitality shown to the team during the evaluation.
