Cooperation with EA

European Co-operation for Accreditation

EA is an association of national accreditation bodies in Europe that are officially designated by the authorities of their states for conducting the audit of organizations that provide assessment services such as certification, verification, inspection, testing, and calibration (also known as conformity assessment services).

The purpose of EA is coordination and management of the European accreditation infrastructure in order to ensure that the results of the conformity assessment services provided in one country are recognized by regulators and the market in other countries without additional assessments that facilitates the development of the European Community and world economy.

According to Article 14 of Reg. 765/2008 of the European Parliament and the Council, which sets out the requirements for accreditation and market surveillance regarding the marketing of products of 09 July 2008, EA is formally appointed as a body to implement the abovementioned tasks.

Consequently, the recognition by EA means that NAAU activities are completely equivalent to the activities of any other national accreditation body that is a member of EA, that significantly simplifies access process to the European market for client organizations of the conformity assessment bodies accredited by NAAU.

Today NAAU is recognized by EA in the following areas of activities :
