Please note, that the National Organization for Standardization (ISO) has officially published new versions of popular and well-known world-wide standards in the scope of management systems:

  • ISO 9001:2015  «Quality management systems – Requirements»;
  • ISO 14001:2015 « Мanagement systems – Requirements with guidance for use»;
  • ISO/IEC 17021-1:2015 Conformity assessment – Requirements for bodies providing audit and certification of management systems – Part 1: Requirements.

The information on changes, applied to new revisions of the standards is available on official ISO web-site: http://www.iso.org.

According to the established rules, all ISO standards are to be revised every five years with the purpose of maintaining their relevance. In the same time, certain transition period is provided for the certified organizations after the new revision is published, in order to confirm their compliance with the new revision of the standard.

The application of ISO standards by accreditation bodies and conformity assessment bodies is regulated by International Accreditation Forum (IAF) official documents. Thus, IAF ID 9:2015 provides information on the date of transition period for the new revision of ISO 9001:2015 – three year transition period from the publication date, namely 15 September 2018. IAF ID 10:2015 provides information on the date of transition period for the new revision of ISO 14001:2015 – three year transition period from the publication date, namely 15 September 2018.                    IAF ID 11:2015 provides information on the date of transition period for the new revision of ISO/IEC 17021-1:2015 – two year transition period from the publication date, namely 15 June 2017.

In accordance with NAAU Policy on application of the requirements of international standards during accreditation (GD 08.00.11), NAAU is to implement ISO/IEC 17021-1:2015 to NAAU management system during 2016.
